Shyam Ki Mata Shikshan and Krida Prasarak Mandal Umari (BK) Dist. Washim was founded in 1980 with the aim of promoting education among rural and underprivileged sections of society. Sudhakarrao Naik Arts, Science and Umashankar Khetan Commerce Junior College was established in the academic year 1984–85, and Sudhakarrao Naik Arts and Umashankar Khetan Commerce Senior College was established in 1986–87. The institution is approved by the Government of Maharashtra and affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University.
At the junior college level, courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, and Bifocal streams are offered, while at the undergraduate level, education is imparted through the Arts and Commerce faculties.
Our college does not focus only on bookish knowledge; it continuously strives to prepare students to face the challenges of the changing times with confidence and competence, and to become enlightened, aware, cultured, self-reliant, dutiful, and responsible citizens. In this mission, the management, teaching faculty, and non-teaching staff play a significant and valuable role.
